"Cute little gift shop"
I really liked the gift shop here. Lots of cute ocean-themed stuff beyond the usual magnets. I ended up grabbing a hoodie and a small plush for my niece. Prices were about what I expected for an aquarium.

I really enjoyed watching the sea otters, they were easily the best part and super fun to see. I was a bit disappointed with how busy everything felt, though, and it took me longer than expected to find the schedule times on the site. The info was helpful once I found it, but it could’ve been easier to navigate.

"jellyfish looked amazing"
the jellyfish looked great and were really fun to watch. they had such a cool glow and movement, and it made the whole experience feel more relaxing.

"Great help from a knowledgeable team"
The staff really knew their stuff and gave me helpful answers without making me feel rushed. that kind of service is why I keep coming back, if it ever stopped being this helpful, I’d probably start looking somewhere else.

"Lovely spot by the water"
The aquarium is in such a great location, right by the water, so you get these lovely views before and after you go in. It’s also really easy to wander around the area, which I liked. It was a little busy, well, actually, busy in a few spots—but it still made for a really nice visit overall.

I had a good time checking everything out. There were so many different fish, jellies, and the otters were fun to watch too. there was more variety than I expected, which was a nice surprise.

"I went here with my mom…"
I went here with my mom, who uses a walker, and I feel kind of stupid for trusting that it would be easy to get around just because they had elevators and ramps. Technically, they were there, but once it got busy, some spots were really tight and awkward to navigate. The staff was nice and did help us find the easier route, but we still ended up waiting around a lot for lifts. It’s a nice place overall, but the accessibility definitely needs to be smoother.

"Parking Was Easier Than I Expected"
We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with my family, the parking situation was painless. I can’t remember if we got there late morning or closer to noon because the whole day kind of blurred together, but we ended up using a nearby garage and it was just a short walk to the entrance. The signs were easy enough to follow, and we didn’t have to circle around forever like I expected. For such a busy spot, it started the day off way less stressful than I thought it would

"Easy to Find Our Way Around"
The signs were clear for the most part and made it easy for us to get to the main exhibits without much trouble. There were a couple of spots where we were not totally sure which way to go, but the staff nearby were helpful and pointed us in the right direction. Overall, it was a good layout and made for an easy visit.

"Helpful, Just Bad Timing on My Part"
It’s useful for learning, honestly. I think I would’ve gotten even more out of it if I’d started using it at a better time, but my schedule was all over the place. Still, it helped me pick things up and made studying a bit easier

"Fun Touch Pool Experience"
The touch pool was a lot of fun, especially for my kids. The staff were great about showing them how to gently touch the rays, which obviously makes the experience better and safer for everyone. It was a simple but really memorable part of our visit.

"Buying the tickets online was quick and..."
Buying the tickets online was quick and easy, and I did like that they showed up in my email right away. But the whole time slot thing was kind of confusing at first, which was a little frustrating for something that should’ve been super simple. It all worked out in the end, but yeah, that part could definitely be clearer

"Easy to Understand and Worth Supporting"
I donated after taking a look through their site, and overall I had a good impression. They explain their main programs clearly, which made it easy to see where the money is going. I do wish there was a little more detail about admin costs, but it still felt transparent enough to make me comfortable donating. I’d say it’s worth checking out if you’re considering giving.

"Really Nice Visit"
I can't say I didn't enjoy my visit. The animals all looked calm and well cared for, and the tanks were really clean. The staff knew what they were talking about too, which made everything feel even better. It wasn't no rushed or uncomfortable experience at all.

"A Relaxed and Friendly Visit"
I had a really lovely time at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The staff were genuinely friendly throughout our visit, and a few of them helped us find specific exhibits without making us feel rushed or awkward for asking simple questions. The person working near the touch pool was especially great with the kids, which made that part of the day even better. Overall, it was an easy, relaxed experience, and I’d definitely be happy to go again.

"I really like the ocean conservation…"
I really like the ocean conservation work they do, and the educational exhibits are genuinely interesting. That said, it did feel a bit pricey for what we got, and it was crowded when I went, which made it harder to really take everything in. Maybe I just happened to visit on a busier day, or maybe it’s getting more popular lately, but I left feeling like I enjoyed the mission more than the actual experience

"Such a chill night at the aquarium"
Went to one of the evening events at Monterey Bay Aquarium it was such a fun time. Check-in was super easy, the staff were all really nice, and getting to see the tanks without the usual huge crowds felt kinda special. The food and drinks setup was simple, but it totally did the job. Mostly just loved wandering around with friends and not feeling rushed at all. Would def go again

"Really clean, even on a busy day"
I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with my kids on a busy day, and I was surprised by how clean everything felt the whole time we were there.

The bathrooms looked like they were being checked often, there were no weird smells, and even the glass around the tanks seemed really well taken care of. That kind of stuff makes a big difference when you’re visiting with kids.

The food area was tidy too, which I always notice right away. Staff were quick to pick up little messes, and it made the whole visit feel easy and comfortable. I’d definitely go back

"Membership has been totally worth it"
We got a membership through Monterey Bay Aquarium, and it’s been one of those things that just made sense for us. We’ve already gone a few times, so it pretty much paid for itself quicker than I expected. The online stuff was easy too, no weird hassle or anything like that. It’s just nice not having to think about tickets each time we want to go...
